("Presence," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our website, create an account, connect third-party platforms, or otherwise use our products and services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details such as name, email address, password, and organization;
- Billing and subscription information processed by our payment providers;
- Support communications and feedback you send to us;
- Brand assets, campaign content, captions, media, and scheduling preferences;
- Authorization tokens and permissions when you connect third-party accounts.
Information collected automatically
- Device, browser, IP address, and general location (city/region level);
- Usage logs, feature interactions, diagnostics, and performance data;
- Cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 8.
Information from third-party integrations
When you connect external platforms, we may receive information authorized by you through OAuth or API access, which may include profile identifiers, account metadata, pages or profiles you manage, content drafts, analytics, and publishing permissions. The exact data depends on the scopes you approve during connection.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Create, edit, schedule, and publish content on platforms you authorize;
- Authenticate users and secure accounts;
- Process payments and manage subscriptions;
- Respond to support requests and communicate about the Service;
- Monitor compliance with our Terms and applicable platform policies;
- Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements. We do not permit human review of Google user data except with your consent, for security purposes, to comply with law, or as otherwise permitted under applicable Google policies.
3. Third-party platform integrations
Presence integrates with third-party services so you can manage your brand presence from one place. When you connect an integration, you authorize us to access and process data according to the permissions you grant. Your use of each integration is also governed by that provider's terms and privacy policies, which are legally binding between you and the provider.
If you connect Google services (such as Google account sign-in, Google Workspace, YouTube, or other Google APIs), Presence's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You also agree to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We use Google data only to provide user-facing features you request, such as authentication, asset access, or publishing workflows you initiate. You may revoke Google access at any time through your Google Account permissions page or within Presence account settings.
Meta — Facebook and Instagram
If you connect Facebook or Instagram accounts, pages, or business assets, Presence processes data in accordance with Meta's platform requirements, including the Meta Platform Terms, Meta Developer Policies, and Meta Privacy Policy. Data may include Facebook Page or Instagram Business account identifiers, profile information, media, insights, and publishing permissions. We use this data solely to operate features you enable, such as content creation, scheduling, and publishing. You may disconnect Meta integrations in Presence or through Meta's business and app settings.
If you connect LinkedIn, we process data in compliance with the LinkedIn API Terms of Use, LinkedIn Privacy Policy, and LinkedIn Professional Community Policies. This may include profile identifiers, organization pages, post content, and analytics authorized by you. LinkedIn data is used only to provide requested Service functionality and is not used for unauthorized profiling or resale.
Canva
If you connect Canva, we process data according to Canva's applicable terms, including the Canva Terms of Use and Canva developer or Connect API terms. This may include design assets, brand kits, templates, export files, and account identifiers needed to import or sync creative content into Presence. Canva content remains subject to Canva's licensing terms and your rights as a Canva user. We access Canva data only to deliver features you request, such as importing designs into campaigns or exporting approved assets.
Other service providers
We may use infrastructure, analytics, email, payment, and customer-support providers who process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations. A current list is available upon request at privacy@buildpresence.ai.
4. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)
Where applicable, we process personal data based on: (a) performance of a contract with you; (b) legitimate interests such as security, analytics, and product improvement, balanced against your rights; (c) compliance with legal obligations; and (d) consent where required, including for certain cookies or marketing communications.
5. How we share information
We may share information:
- With platforms you authorize, to publish or sync content you direct;
- With vendors who help us operate the Service under data-processing terms;
- With professional advisers, auditors, or authorities when required by law;
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale;
- With your consent or at your direction.
We require processors to use personal information only for specified purposes and to implement appropriate safeguards.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you disconnect an integration, we delete or de-identify associated tokens and cached platform data within a reasonable period, unless retention is required for security, backup integrity, or legal compliance. You may request deletion as described in Section 10.
7. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, analytics, and security. You can control cookies through browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit certain Service features.
9. International transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal information, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of certain sharing (we do not sell personal information). 11. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy, subject to applicable law.
